Machine Operator - Manufacturing Opportunity

We are hiring a Machine Operator I - MI Cable to support our manufacturing and production operations in Swedesboro, NJ. This position is ideal for experienced machine operators, production technicians, or manufacturing associates who have experience operating industrial machinery, automation equipment, and production systems.

The Machine Operator will operate MI cable production machinery, monitor production processes, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure all products meet quality control and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate industrial machinery and MI cable manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.ย 
  • Monitor production processes to ensure output meets specifications and quality standards.ย 
  • Inspect raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with quality requirements.ย 
  • Adjust machine settings and production equipment for different cable sizes and product specifications.ย 
  • Record production data, quality checks, and machine performance information.ย 
  • Perform equipment changeovers, machine adjustments, and minor repairs when necessary.ย 
  • Identify mechanical or equipment issues and communicate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.ย 
  • Test components and finished goods using:ย 
    • Megohmmeterย 
    • Low resistance ohmmeterย 
    • Multimeterย 
    • Hi-Pot testerย 
    • Thermal imaging cameraย 
    • Clamp meterย 
  • Prepare materials and components used by automation and production machinery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.ย 
  • Follow all manufacturing safety procedures and company policies.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 3+ years of machine operator or manufacturing experienceย 
  • Experience operating industrial machinery or automated equipmentย 
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and production equipmentย 
  • Knowledge of measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and torque testersย 
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and mechanical equipmentย 
  • Basic math and measurement skillsย 
  • Ability to follow production instructions and technical proceduresย 
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, and work around machinery for extended periodsย 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
