Moog's Corporate Group is seeking an experienced and proactive Public Relations Manager to join us!
As Moog's Public Relations Manager, you will support our external communication efforts by helping tell our story, strengthening our media presence, and establishing foundational public relations (PR) processes that work across a global, multi-business organization.
You will work a hybrid schedule at our East Aurora facility; therefore, you must live local to the Buffalo NY area.
To be considered for the Public Relations Manager role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or closely related field.
  • Over eight (8) years of professional PR or communications experience, ideally with exposure to large or global organizations. Experience in the aerospace and defense industry is a plus.
  • Experience in rapid response planning, stakeholder management, and message control during high-pressure situations.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience drafting press releases, statements, and external messaging.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain media relationships.
  • Experience contributing to, or leading PR strategy.
  • Comfort working independently and exercising sound judgment in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

As the Public Relations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assessment of Current Communications: Review Moog's existing external communications and media presence to identify opportunities for clarity, consistency, and visibility.
  • Design PR Strategy: Develop an external communications approach aligned with Moog's business priorities and brand identity.
  • Media Outreach: Build relationships with relevant journalists and outlets; pitch stories that highlight Moog's people, products, and impact.
  • Content Development: Draft press releases, media statements, talking points, and other external communications materials.
  • PR Processes: Establish basic tools and templates for media outreach, approvals, and reporting that can scale across a large, complex organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, HR, and business units to ensure alignment across messaging and priorities.
