Business Relations Manager

1-800-SWEEPER Members Marketing

Location: Headquarters Toledo, OH Travel: Industry events, member visits, and annual summit

Why This Role Stands Out

We're not just hiring a manager, we're looking for an integrator of people, ideas, and opportunities.

At 1-800-SWEEPER, you'll step into a highly visible, relationship-driven leadership role where you'll connect a national network of business owners, vendors, and industry partners helping them all grow together.

Through Members Marketing, who owns the vanity phone number 1-800-SWEEPER (www.1800sweeper.com) and the Sweeper Summit & Equipment Expo (www.sweepersummit.com), we bring together independently owned power sweeping companies across North America. The 1-800-SWEEPER network enables national-scale brand recognition and service delivery while leveraging meaningful purchasing power for members and exclusive peer-to-peer industry education across the 1-800-SWEEPER organization.

This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy + execution, enjoys building something meaningful without being buried in bureaucracy, and values being part of a close-knit, entrepreneurial team. You'll work alongside a business owner with nearly 50 years of experience whose leadership style is creative with high expectations yet flexible, passionate, loyal, family-oriented, and deeply committed to the success of the people around him.

If you've led a buying group, managed franchise like multi-location operations, or built high-level vendor partnerships, this could be your next move.

What You'll Own

This role serves as the central connector across our ecosystem, driving growth, retention, and member success.

Member & Network Growth

  • Lead expansion of our membership footprint into new territories
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective members
  • Guide members from initial engagement through onboarding and long-term success
  • Identify growth opportunities across existing relationships
  • Help members strengthen and grow their businesses

Vendor & Partner Relationships

  • Act as the primary relationship owner for vendor partners
  • Strengthening partnerships that drive measurable value for members
  • Evaluate performance, optimize vendor lineup, and introduce new strategic partners
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment and execution

Integrator Mindset

  • Connect internal teams, vendors, and members to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Identify gaps, solve problems, and implement smarter processes
  • Continuously improving onboarding, communication, and engagement systems
  • Leverage technology and data to enhance efficiency and visibility

Events & Industry Engagement

  • Lead planning and execution of the annual Sweeper Summit, an industry specific conference, and other key events
  • Build sponsorship relationships and drive event funding success
  • Represent the 1-800-SWEEPER brand at industry events and networking opportunities

Who You Are

You're not just a relationship manager, you're a problem solver, connector, and builder.

Backgrounds we believe would translate into success

  • Experience leading or managing a buying group, franchise network, or dealer network
  • Senior leadership experience in multi-unit retail, distribution, sales or operations
  • Proven track record of building relationships that drive growth
  • Comfortable owning both strategy and hands-on execution

Core Strengths

  • Strong communicator who builds trust quickly
  • Naturally curious and solutions-oriented
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving parts
  • Confident leading conversations with business owners and executives
  • Thrives in a role with autonomy and accountability

Work-Life Balance & Flexibility

We believe great work happens in environments that support flexibility, trust, and accountability.

  • Flexible work structure with autonomy in how you manage your day
  • A balance of travel and remote work
  • A focus on outcomes rather than micromanagement
  • The opportunity to shape and improve how the role evolves

Why Join 1-800-SWEEPER/Members Marketing

  • Be part of a growing national network with strong industry momentum
  • Work directly with leadership and help shape strategic direction
  • Play a key role in evolving a buying group into its next generation
  • Build relationships that truly make an impact across multiple businesses
