Job description

Epsilon Systems Solutions, Inc. has a current job opening for a temporary, full time, paid Business Operations Intern in National City, CA.
Summary:
The Business Operations Intern will participate in a structured, rotational internship program designed to provide hands on exposure to core operational departments within our NC division. Over approximately 12 weeks, the intern will spend about two weeks in each of the following departments: Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, Estimating, Programs, Finance, and Contracts. This role is ideal for a student interested in learning how business functions collaborate to support project execution, customer requirements, and overall organizational efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a rotational training program across Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, Estimating, Programs, Finance, and Contracts.
  • Assist each department with day to day tasks, special projects, and operational workflows.
  • Observe and document how cross functional teams collaborate to support program delivery and business operations.
  • Support departmental staff with data entry, document preparation, basic reporting, and process organization.
  • Learn and follow company procedures related to compliance, quality, documentation control, and internal communication.
  • Attend team meetings, shadow staff, and contribute to discussions and problem solving activities as appropriate.
  • Gain exposure to procurement processes, financial workflows, shipping documentation, program coordination, and contract administration.
  • Complete assigned tasks accurately and in alignment with department expectations and timelines.
  • Maintain professional communication and a willingness to learn across a variety of operational environments.

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Strong interest in gaining exposure to multiple business functions.
  • Ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to support administrative and operational tasks.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Must be able to speak, write, understand, and communicate in English.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior internship, part time work, or coursework related to business or operations.
  • Interest in government contracting or project based organizations.
  • Familiarity with basic business terminology or process documentation.

Pay Range:
The pay range for this role is $25.00 per hour. This is a reasonable estimate for this role. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
