Conflicts Analyst
Salary Range: $100,000 - $110,000
We are partnering with one of the nation's most respected and established law firms to identify a Conflicts Analyst for its Office of General Counsel. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded legal organization that advises leading companies, financial institutions, healthcare systems, and emerging businesses across the United States and internationally.
This position plays a critical role in protecting the firm's ethical and professional obligations by researching, analyzing, and helping resolve conflicts of interest related to new business intake, client matters, and attorney lateral hires.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is already performing conflicts analysis within a law firm environment and can independently review, research, analyze, and communicate potential conflicts with minimal supervision. This individual should be comfortable partnering directly with attorneys and making well-reasoned recommendations based on their findings.
Location
  • Remote position
  • Candidates must reside in a Pacific Time Zone state
  • Preference will be given to candidates located near the firm's California offices in Century City, Downtown Los Angeles, Costa Mesa, San Diego, Del Mar, San Francisco, or Silicon Valley
  • Occasional office visits may be required
What You'll Do
  • Research, analyze, and assist in resolving conflicts of interest
  • Review new client and matter intake submissions for completeness and accuracy
  • Conduct conflicts searches and analyze results for new matters, clients, and lateral attorney candidates
  • Prepare written conflict summaries and reports for attorneys and firm leadership
  • Review relationships among clients, entities, matters, and attorneys to identify potential conflicts
  • Partner closely with attorneys and members of the Office of General Counsel
  • Monitor and respond to urgent intake and conflicts requests
Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of recent conflicts administration experience within a mid-size or large law firm
  • Current or recent experience as a Conflicts Analyst, Senior Conflicts Analyst, Conflicts Specialist, New Business Intake Analyst, or similar role
  • Experience conducting conflicts research, searches, and analysis for clients, matters, and/or lateral attorney hires
  • Experience using Intapp, iManage, LegalKey, or comparable conflicts management software
  • Strong understanding of attorney conflicts of interest and applicable Rules of Professional Conduct
  • Experience preparing written conflict summaries and reports
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience clearing and resolving conflicts
  • Experience reviewing engagement letters, waivers, and conflict resolution documentation
  • Experience supporting a large national or international law firm
