Business Development Coordinator
Cumberland Hall Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Business Development Coordinator to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Preferred candidate location is in Paducah, KY or Owensboro, KY
Cumberland Hall Hospital is a 97 bed, licensed, acute psychiatric hospital located in beautiful Hopkinsville, KY. Cumberland Hall features individual units for youth, adults and active duty military, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average over 1500 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cumberland Hall Hospital.

The Business Development Coordinator implements the hospital's business development plan to exceed admission targets within an assigned geographic territory, primarily serving Southwestern Kentucky and Middle Tennessee. This position is responsible for developing and managing long-term referral relationships across community sources. The role requires regular travel within the territory to meet with key referral contacts, including, hospitals, crisis centers, and a broad network of behavioral health and medical professionals, as well as other community partners.
Job Duties to include:
  • Develops a strategic plan at the beginning of every fiscal year and meets with supervisor quarterly for updates and modifications of plan.
  • Accurately qualifies accounts as A, B, C for business potential.
  • Develops and maintains an updated profile of assigned accounts with current activity.
  • Makes minimum daily/monthly contacts as defined by Regional Director of Business Development.
  • Ensures that contact records are updated and completed within department parameters.
  • Utilizes industry, competitor, and census data/information to identify markets and customers within territory to develop business.
  • Contacts customers currently utilizing services at least quarterly to inquire about satisfaction with services and need for other services.
  • Assists facilities with executing and/or renewing contracts from within their territory. This includes, but is not limited to: completing service applications, organizing documents needed for contracting, completing a service profile and any unique logistics associated with servicing the account.

Qualifications
Business Development Coordinator:
  • Education: Associate's degree required in marketing, public relations, business development, communications, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in marketing, business development, or a related field required, with knowledge of healthcare environments, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and interpret data. Preference given to candidates with experience in strategic or consultative selling, large account management, and the ability to assess, prioritize, and grow customer relationships based on business potential.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Valid Driver's License required.
