Salary:

We are seeking a Director of Business Development who will lead our growth efforts by identifying opportunities, strengthening client partnerships, and advancing pursuit strategies in key markets. This role is ideal for a driven professional who brings industry insight, credibility, and a passion for building meaningful connections that support Murray Companys long-term goals.


What Youll Do:

  • Develop and execute business development strategies for assigned markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
  • Identify, track, and pursue new project opportunities and market trends.
  • Lead or support RFQs, RFPs, interviews, and other pursuit activities.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to position Murray Company for success.
  • Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, and community functions.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and long-range growth planning.
  • Support team development, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement efforts.


Skills & Qualifications include:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of related business development, sales, marketing, or construction industry experience.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and generate new business opportunities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills.
  • Experience leading pursuit efforts and collaborating across teams.
  • Strategic mindset with strong organization and follow-through.
  • Commercial construction experience, preferred.
  • Available to national travel for business growth, with up to 75% travel based on organizational needs, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments, required.
