Job description

Overview
The Business Development Specialist works in collaboration with WakeMed Enterprise Leaders, Executive Medical Directors, Service Line Directors, Senior Leadership and Public Relations and is responsible for the analysis, strategy development and enhancement of initiatives around growing healthcare business for WakeMed through improved physician to physician communications, community relationships, and a focus on patient-centered improvements.
The Business Development Specialist is accountable for achieving business growth by gaining insight into the current market state and identifying new business growth and improvement opportunities. Process may include providing market analysis including understanding of customer needs, competitive landscape and changes, volumes, demographics, historical trends, forecasted growth and demand for services.
