Job description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, driving regulations, and the ability to communicate effectively with passengers and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and answering questions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bus interior.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transit.
  • Assist with paratransit services as needed for passengers with disabilities.
  • Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with passenger endorsements for bus driving.
  • Experience in bus driving, including school bus, shuttle driving, or motor coach is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance checks on the vehicle.
