Job description

Ewing Automotive Group, a family owned and operated dealership, has been dedicated to serving our customers for over 80 years. Our Service Cashier/Booker will help process customer transactions and support back-end closing responsibilities for repair orders in our service department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Record amounts received and prepare cash reports of transactions
  • Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Book repair orders and issue purchase orders
  • Print repair orders, parts invoice, bills, itemized lists, and tickets showing amounts due
  • Processes repair orders
  • Maintains records of daily transaction documentation
  • Calculates coupons, discounts, charges and apply to proper accounts on repair order
  • Prepares daily bank deposits
  • Knows and understands extended service policies, and process extended warranty payments for repair orders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma; and one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Understand deadlines and be able to apply the appropriate sense of urgency to all tasks
  • Strong computer & phone skills (Internet, MS Outlook)
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, and ability to work within a fast-paced environment

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILLITIES:
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates inside an automotive dealership environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.
