We are looking for Furnace Repair Technicians!
Job description

Spuncast, Inc. is a contract manufacturing company specializing in cylindrical castings. Since 1976, our campus in Watertown, WI has grown to two foundries and two machine shops. We focus on centrifugal castings for a diverse number of industries.

Schedule: 8 pm - 4 am Sunday to Thursday (Fridays as needed)

*added compensation for being bilingual

Duties include:

  • Inspect all furnaces regularly for needed maintenance; knock out and replace liners in furnaces, as needed
  • Inspect all coil sizes and conditions, maintain proper documentation on each furnace in the log book
  • Repair funnels, ladles, and all supplies for funnels, ladles
  • Maintain furnace ramming supplies; perform weekly inspection of same
  • Assist in loading dies into pre-heaters
  • Assist in setting up all cast machines, as needed
  • Assist in setting up all cast machines, as needed
  • Assist in pulling and identifying castings
  • Perform housekeeping in work area and maintain equipment
  • Assist in training new employees in foundry

Requirements:

  • Contribute to Spuncast’s Continuous Improvement Plan by actively participating on appropriate teams
  • Perform similar or related duties as necessary or assigned
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Safely work with all equipment, supplies, and metal in accordance with training and our safety manual.
