Job description


We are seeking an experienced, highly organized, and solutions-oriented Production Manager to oversee production operations across studio and field shoots. This role is responsible for managing logistics, crew staffing, equipment operations, scheduling, and day-to-day production execution from pre-production through wrap.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced production environments, has hands-on technical production experience, and is equally comfortable managing logistics behind the scenes as they are supporting live production operations on set.
Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Logistics
  • Partner closely with Producers during pre-production to identify all production, staffing, and equipment needs for assigned shoots
  • Develop production plans and ensure all logistical requirements are secured and executed on schedule
  • Source, coordinate, and book freelance crew, vendors, rentals, and production resources as needed
  • Secure and manage all necessary production gear, rentals, transportation, permits, and operational support

Crew & Scheduling Management
  • Manage scheduling and staffing for all assigned productions, including internal staff and freelance crew
  • Create, update, and distribute detailed production schedules and call sheets
  • Maintain clear communication with all departments regarding shoot logistics, timelines, and production expectations
  • Track crew availability and support efficient allocation of production resources across multiple projects

Equipment & Gear Operations
  • Oversee and manage the in-house gear room and production inventory
  • Ensure all cameras, lighting, audio, and support equipment are operational, organized, maintained, and production-ready
  • Coordinate equipment prep, testing, maintenance, repairs, and inventory tracking
  • Load, transport, and unload gear for field productions as needed

Studio & Field Production Support
  • Lead production operations for all in-studio shoots
  • Support lighting setup, camera operation, and audio recording during productions
  • Troubleshoot technical or logistical issues during shoots to ensure smooth execution
  • Ensure productions remain on schedule and production standards are maintained both on-location and in-studio

On-Set Operations
  • Oversee craft services and on-set production needs for both studio and field shoots
  • Help maintain a professional, efficient, and collaborative production environment
  • Ensure production spaces remain organized, safe, and operational throughout all phases of production

Financial & Administrative Management
  • Process and track freelancer invoices, production expenses, and vendor payments
  • Maintain accurate production records, crew documents, and operational paperwork
  • Support production budgeting and cost tracking as needed

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of production management experience in digital media, broadcast, commercial, branded content, or studio production environments
  • Strong understanding of production workflows from pre-production through post
  • Hands-on experience with cameras, lighting, audio equipment, and studio operations
  • Experience managing freelance crews, vendors, and production logistics
  • Proficiency with production scheduling, call sheet creation, and crew coordination
  • Ability to lift and transport production equipment for field shoots
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously in fast-paced environments
  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
  • Familiarity with modern production equipment including DSLR/mirrorless cameras, cinema cameras, wireless audio systems, lighting packages, and grip equipment preferred

The base salary compensation range for this role is $90,000 to $104,000. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
