Summary:

This role ensures successful installation, commissioning, and support of Halton equipment through start-ups, training, and troubleshooting. It involves extensive travel, customer interaction, and promotion of service and maintenance contracts while providing detailed reports and feedback to improve quality.


Location:

This is a fully remote position. The perspective applicant must be located in Texas to support our operations in these areas.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties may include the following. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary to support quality goals and objectives.

  • Completing Start-ups on Halton kitchen ventilation equipment
  • Attending Pre-Commissioning meetings: onsite coordination with trades for Halton kitchen ventilation equipment installations
  • Owner/Operator training which includes warranty activation, how to service the system, how to operate the touch screens and how the system works and saves energy
  • CARE visits: onsite training sessions for the end users
  • Promotion of Monitoring Contracts to owners/operators
  • Providing owner/operator contact information for SharePoint database
  • Trouble shooting performance issues
  • Promotion of Maintenance Contracts
  • Promotion of Service and Parts and coordination with owner/operator and HSN Manager
  • Coordination with Sales on calls for large project meetings in the design stage
  • Ability to travel for up to 48 weeks out of the year
  • Handle calls and emails from customers concerning all Halton products
  • Ability to write detailed reports on every job site visit
  • Report feedback from the field to improve quality
  • Ability to perform office duties when not traveling, such as parts ordering, scheduling etc.
  • Assist the HSN manager with any specific projects or duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Related experience and/or training
  • Clear understanding of computers and ability to navigate various software packages including but not limited to Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of mechanical items such as motors, pulleys, VFD’s etc.
  • Detailed knowledge of electrical theory and controls

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.


Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
