Job description

IT Systems Administrator
Primary Function:
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SCCM for software deployment, patch management, and endpoint protection, as well as experience with Azure services for cloud-based solutions and infrastructure management.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, operating systems, and productivity tools.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT assets from unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Conduct regular backups and implement disaster recovery plans to minimize data loss and ensure business continuity.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to identify technology needs and implement solutions that support business objectives.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain SCCM infrastructure to ensure efficient software deployment, patch management, and endpoint protection across the organization. Develop and maintain SCCM packages, task sequences, and software update groups for automated deployment and patching.
  • Manage Azure resources and services, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and identity/access management.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in SCCM, Azure, and IT infrastructure management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise and support as needed.

Job Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on SCCM and Azure.
  • Strong proficiency in deploying, configuring, and maintaining SCCM infrastructure, including experience with software deployment, patch management, and endpoint protection.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services and solutions, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Solid understanding of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate are preferred
