Bindery/ Folder Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This position requires operating the Stahl folder equipment on the production floor, during the assigned time frames, to the quality standards established by the Production Supervisor. Opportunity to work in a great family friendly work environment and benefits!
  • Set up and operate folder/gluer /tipper
  • Completion of production paperwork
  • Quality Control steps completed accurately
  • Follow job orders and special instructions
  • Adhere to production schedule and quality requirements
  • Keep area neat and clean
  • Perform other duties as directed
  • Reports directly to the Bindery Supervisor
  • Follow all safety procedures and company policies
  • Must be flexible to work overtime as needed to get the job done

Requirements
Bindery/ Folding Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and write English legibly
  • Must be able to understand and follow instructions
  • Knowledge of and ability to set up and operate all above equipment
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Minimum supervision required
  • Strong mechanical skills required
  • 2+ years bindery experience desired
  • Regular and predictable attendance is considered an essential part of the job
  • Solid Math skills
  • Solid written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to identify inadequate machine operation and make basic adjustments.
  • Comfortable working within a team environment

Education:
  • High School degree or equivalent trade school training

Work Environment/Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand for 8 to 12 hours & walk 3 hours
  • Lift up to 50lbs
  • Intermittent bending up to 3 hours. Including:

o Bending neck
o Bending waist
o Twisting waist
โ€ข Intermittent squatting up to 3 hours
  • Repetitive hand movement up to 8 to 12 hours including:
    • Simple grasping, hand manipulation, pushing/pulling
  • Reach above and below shoulder height
