Responsibilities
  • Assist the Bindery Operator in the set up and operation on the Bindery equipment
  • Load and unload materials and products onto bindery equipment as needed
  • Pack finished products into boxes according to production specifications
  • Perform line/area clearance between jobs
  • Issue all WIP tags from previous job
  • Issue the corrugated cases used, from the stock ID tag
  • Double check load tags to make sure all information matches the docket
  • Using the specification sheet and docket, verify the case label has all the correct information on it
  • Set-up corrugate cases and label them with the correct case label
  • Strip pallets as required
  • Check for obvious defects during packing, i.e. hickies, scratches, color variation, registration and segregate non-conforming material
  • Complete the quality checklist as required
  • Complete production count and corrugate usage sheets, as required
  • Complete the flat-packing section on the docket envelope
  • Assist in the training of fellow Bindery Assistants if required
  • Maintain & adhere to safety standards (including P.P.E requirements)
  • Assist in performing scheduled maintenance when required
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Demonstrate a deliberate focus on Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Customer Satisfaction

Qualifications/Skills Required
  • Experience in the Manufacturing Industry preferred
  • Ability to work individually as well as in a team environment
  • Good organization skills
  • Team Player
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction

Physical Requirements
  • Safely and effectively handle objects weighing between 30-50 pounds on a consistent basis, with the capability to lift more if required
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Maintain good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Sustain physical endurance for fast-paced work
  • Operate and work near machinery safely
