What is a bindery associate?

Bindery Associates are workers who assist in the final stages of the printing process, preparing printed materials for distribution. Their tasks typically include operating machines that bind books, pamphlets, or other publications, as well as folding, cutting, gathering, and packaging printed items. They ensure quality control by checking for errors or defects and may perform light maintenance on bindery equipment. Bindery Associates often work in printing plants or publishing facilities and must pay close attention to detail to meet production standards.

What skills and qualifications are needed to be a bindery associate?

To thrive as a Bindery Associate, you need attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
