Job description

Candidates who receive an offer will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.
Document Scanning Associate
San Diego, CA (onsite)
3+Month Contract
Mon -Fri 8am - 2:30pm (30 hours a week)

Description:
Office Services / Document Imaging Associate Contract position starting immediately (5/18/2026 8/14/2026). This role supports high-volume document scanning, copying, mail handling, shipping/receiving, and general office services in a fast-paced production environment. Extensive standing, walking, and lifting are required throughout the shift.
Responsibilities

  • Remove staples and prepare documents for imaging and scanning
  • Operate high-volume scanners, copiers, bindery, and finishing equipment
  • Perform document copying, scanning, binding, filing, archiving, and quality checks
  • Operate image handling software, MS Office, email systems, and basic office equipment
  • Sort, distribute, and process incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and office supplies
  • Maintain copier areas, clear paper jams, and report equipment issues as needed
  • Maintain daily meter readings, service logs, inventory records, and billing logs
  • Respond to customer service requests and provide job status updates
  • Deliver completed jobs to designated on-site locations
  • Support shipping and receiving functions, including package handling and distribution
  • Use bindery and finishing equipment including paper cutters, hole drills, shrink-wrap machines, joggers, stackers, staplers, scales, and postage meters
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked work areas
  • Perform additional office support duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience required
  • Previous copy, scanning, or office services experience preferred
  • Basic computer proficiency including MS Office Suite and email systems
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and customer service skills
  • Technical aptitude with copiers, scanners, printers, postage machines, and office equipment
  • Ability to interpret instructions and manage multiple work assignments
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, reach, and lift 40 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable pushing or pulling equipment on wheels when necessary
  • Ability to work in an office environment with moderate physical demands
  • Business casual dress code required
  • No driving required
