Location: 1224 Poinsett Hwy, Greenville, SC 29609
Work Hours: 8am - 5pm,with expected additional hours/weekends mandatory.
What we are looking for:
The Manager, Lettershop is responsible for managing the production department (30-50employees across 4 shifts including a supervisor on each shift and lettershop maintenance team), achieving planned machine outputs in efficiency, on-time performance, and quality control. Provide leadership to production employees and create a positive work environment and consistently giving performance feedback to employees.
What you'll be doing:
  • Managing KPI's including throughput, labor efficiency, quality metrics and schedule adherence.
  • Work with Scheduling / Capacity planning to manage labor plans aligned with production forecasts; balance workforce with capacity planned.
  • Drive root cause analysis on process failures in Lettershop and apply continuous improvement techniques in Lettershop.
  • Manage performance, including regular performance feedback, annual evaluations, goal setting, improvement plans and succession planning.
  • Production management; understand the lettershop process.
  • Ensure all Lettershop Department employees are properly trained in equipment and processes.
  • Identify areas of improvement and work with the Lettershop team and other departments to initiate and execute process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Always maintain respectful communication and interdepartmental relationships.
  • Hold accountable supervisors, leads, and employees to the established output and quality expectations
  • Work with members of management / project management team on all changes or deviations from the original work order as quickly as possible to ensure continued production without jeopardizing the order
  • Coordinate with the Scheduler & Maintenance to schedule preventive maintenance.
  • Represent the Lettershop Department in the weekly cross-functional team meeting.
  • Prepare and conduct regular Department Meetings.
  • Partner with Human Resource and Talent Acquisition in retaining and acquiring talent for the Lettershop team.

Who you are:
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience managing 5-8 ppl and leading a team of 30-50 ppl across multiple shifts.
  • Experience managing production in the direct mail industry STRONGLY preferred.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Print and Mail Production experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in print production management, with specific experience in letter shop operations preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • High school diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification
  • Degree from an accredited university is preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage the Lettershop Team
Work Environment: Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility
Physical Demands:
  • Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment
