Job description

Bindery Machine Operator

Position: Bindery Machine Operator
Equipment Focus: Muller Martini Stitcher/Trimmer
Location: Troy, MI
Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Bindery Machine Operator to support our saddle stitching operations. While experience with Muller Martini stitcher/trimmer equipment is a plus, it is not required. We are willing to train the right candidate with strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to grow in print finishing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of Muller Martini stitcher/trimmer equipment.

  • Read and follow job tickets to ensure proper materials and production specifications.

  • Monitor production quality and make basic adjustments as needed.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks and keep equipment and work areas clean.

  • Work cooperatively with bindery team members to meet daily production goals.

  • Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn bindery equipment operation.

  • Previous experience operating bindery equipment in a production environment.

  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and ensure quality output.

  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused.

Preferred (Not Required):

  • Experience with Muller Martini stitchers/trimmers.

  • Prior work in a print, bindery, or manufacturing environment.
