BINDERY MACHINE OPERATOR
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Bindery Machine Operator is responsible for operating folder/cutter equipment, maintaining quality standards, trouble-shooting equipment issues, and upholding production requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
  • Ability to work well with co-workers in team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Examine job tickets to determine job specific instructions.
  • Perform job set ups on MBO folding equipment; roll unwinder or sheet fed
  • Ability to setup/operate counter, glue systems and job specific folds.
  • Possess mechanical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance.
  • Straight Knife Cutter operator
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Must be physically capable of working long hours, standing, and/or walking.
  • Ability to lift items up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Mechanical skills to set up and operator MBO Folding Equipment (Roll to fold)
  • Basic Math Skills, including ability to read a ruler.
  • High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of bindery experience.
