Indiana Printing and Publishing Company, Inc. is currently hiring for a
Full Time Post Press Bindery Operator!

Job Objective: Sets up, operates, and maintains various bindery and finishing equipment to complete printed materials according to customer specifications and quality standards. 
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Setup and Operation: Read job tickets to determine finishing specifications (cutting, folding, scoring, binding, etc.) and set up and operator post-press machinery, such as cutters, folders, stitchers, and binders. 
  • Quality Control: Inspected collated, stitched, or unbound product samples to ensure accuracy and overall print quality before, during, and after the finishing process. 
  • Finishing Tasks: Perform manual and machine-assisted finishing tasks, which may include trimming edges and packaging. 
  • Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs on finishing and bindery equipment to ensure optimal performance. 
  • Material Handling: Collect, package, and prepare completed printed materials for shipping or delivery. 
  • Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with press operators and shipping personnel to maintain a smooth workflow and meet production deadlines. 
  • Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols when operating machinery and handling materials. 

Required Skills and Qualifications: 
  • Proven experience operating bindery and finishing equipment in a commercial printing environment preferred but not required. We will train the right candidate. 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills for equipment issues. 
  • Excellent attention to detail for quality assurance. 
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and technical instructions. 
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods. 
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, push, pull, bend and stoop. 
  • Be a team player
  • Be punctual 

Must be able to pass a background check
Hours 7:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday with weekends as needed. 
Rate of pay $17.00 - $19.00, depending on prior experience
