Palmer Candy is looking for a Bilingual Trainer to train new and existing Team Members in both English and Spanish


Job Title: Bilingual Trainer
Reports To: HR Manager
Location: Two local facilities

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bilingual Trainer to support a growing food manufacturing organization across two local facilities. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering effective training programs in both English and Spanish. The Trainer will play a key role in onboarding, compliance training, and continuous workforce development, while also supporting the HR team with translation and communication needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement training programs from scratch for production, safety, quality, and compliance
  • Deliver engaging training sessions in both English and Spanish for Team Members at all levels
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery methods
  • Utilize Alchemy software to assign, track, and report on Team Member training
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Generate and analyze training reports for leadership and HR
  • Translate training materials, policies, procedures, and HR communications into Spanish and English
  • Serve as a language resource for Team Members and management to ensure clear and effective communication
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and onboarding programs
  • Partner with department leaders to identify skill gaps and training needs
  • Support ongoing Team Member development initiatives
  • Work closely with HR, Operations, Quality, and Safety teams to align training with business goals
  • Assist HR with Team Member engagement initiatives and communication strategies
  • Provide training support at both company facilities, requiring minor local travel
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required

Qualifications

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
  • 2+ years of training experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
  • Experience with Alchemy LMS (or similar learning management systems)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong instructional design skills with the ability to create training content from the ground up
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP) is a plus

Work Schedule

  • Standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Flexibility is required to support business needs, including occasional adjustments to hours for annual trainings or special sessions

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Primarily based in a manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and production areas
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during training sessions
  • Occasional lifting of training materials or equipment (up to 25 lbs)
