Superior Skilled Trades is seeking a Safety Manager (OSHA 510 Certified) for an immediate start in Sparks, NV!

LONG-TERM, TEMP-TO-HIRE OPPORTUNITY, FULL-TIME HOURS!

  • PAY: $50-55/hour (based upon experience)
  • HOURS: 8.5-hour workdays; approximately 40 hours/week
  • SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
  • START DATE: ASAP
  • DURATION: Long-term, Temp-to-Hire

Safety Manager (OSHA 510 Certified) Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager with a minimum OSHA 510 Certification to oversee all aspects of safety on a commercial data center construction project. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing site-specific safety programs while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and client requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial or industrial construction safety and the ability to proactively identify hazards, investigate incidents, and promote a culture of safety throughout the project.

Qualifications for Safety Manager:

  • OSHA 510 Certification is required.
  • 5+ years of construction safety experience on commercial and/or industrial job sites preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing site-specific safety plans.
  • Ability to conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and identify/correct unsafe conditions.
  • Experience performing Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and reviewing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction standards and applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations.
  • Experience leading new hire safety orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
  • Ability to investigate accidents, injuries, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Experience monitoring high-risk activities including fall protection, confined space entry, lockout/tagout, excavation, crane operations, and other critical safety programs.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA logs, inspection reports, training records, and other required safety documentation.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively alongside project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel.

Preferred Certifications:

  • CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
  • OSHA 500 Authorized Construction Trainer
  • EM 385-1-1
  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED Certification

Additional Requirements for Safety Manager:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must have reliable transportation to the job site.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Must be able to perform job duties that require walking active construction sites, climbing ladders, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
