What you will be doing

Provides day-to-day administrative support, and benefits coordination, for Flatiron benefits plans. Administers various employee benefit programs, such as medical, dental, and life insurance, to ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and insurance regulations. Resolves employee concerns and answer questions regarding benefits. Processes enrollments and maintains employee benefit files and enrollment rosters for health & welfare and retirement plans. Assists in the training of job site administrative personnel; work with field personnel to explain benefits. Updates name and address changes through vendor systems. Prepares and distributes enrollment confirmation packets and Summary Plan Descriptions. Responsible for keeping benefits inventory updated including vendor materials and new hire benefit packets. Processes termination forms to determine COBRA, life conversion and 401(k) qualifications. Responsible for mailing forms to employees and maintaining updates to COBRA/hour bank vendors. Processes various governmental forms (e.g., qualified medical support notices, etc.)

What we are looking for
  • 1+ years in Benefits, Human Resources or related experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • High level of ethics and integrity required.
  • Customer service skills required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee personal information.
  • Intermediate level skill in computer processing and data entry.
