Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and employee-focused Part-Time Benefits Specialist to support the administration of employee benefit programs. This role is ideal for someone with benefits administration experience who enjoys helping employees navigate benefit offerings, answering questions, and ensuring accurate program administration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and support employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans.
  • Manage the tuition reimbursement program, including application processing, eligibility verification, reimbursement tracking, and employee communications.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing exceptional customer service and timely issue resolution.
  • Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate with employees, managers, educational institutions, and third-party vendors regarding tuition reimbursement requests.
  • Assist with benefits enrollment activities, qualifying life events, and annual open enrollment processes.
  • Prepare reports, track program utilization, and maintain documentation related to benefits and tuition assistance programs.
  • Support HR initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of benefits administration, HR, or related experience.
  • Experience administering or supporting a tuition reimbursement or educational assistance program strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, leave programs, and HR policies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or related credential) is a plus.
  • Experience with HRIS and benefits administration systems.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
