Position: Bakery Assistant / Donut Maker

Department: Farmhouse Restaurant

Reports to: Bakery Manager

Employment Type: Part Time Hourly

Position Summary: The Bakery Assistant must strive to maintain a consistently high level of product quality, and optimum output with minimum waste. Must be able to multiโ€“task, adhere to product recipes/specifications, and have a strong work ethic, and demonstrate a commitment to producing high quality, wholesome products, service, and food safety standards, volume and quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Display willingness to learn and ability to be flexible in changes of business needs.
  • Possess effective communication skills, demonstrate active listening skills, and ask for help when needed.
  • Ability to stand and walk around for extended periods of time throughout shift, up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Teamwork is a must, ability to work with all other entity managers and help as needed.
  • Maintain neat, clean, and orderly workspace.
  • Use all kitchen equipment effectively, including scales, mixers, and ovens.
  • Ability to work independently as well as on a team.
  • Proactively solve problems and have the ability to do so quickly.
  • Responsibility, dependability, and flexibility with hours are required.
  • Must be able to weekends, early mornings and holidays, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older and work with kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure work procedures, quality standards, and menu specifications are adhered to.
  • Prepare all food items according to standard recipes and menu to ensure consistency of products to the guests.
