Job description

Console is building the AI agents that power autonomous enterprises. We use AI to autonomously resolve IT, HR, Legal, Finance, Security, and Ops tasks the moment they come in from Slack or Teams. We're building toward a future where enterprise operations are fully autonomous; with no tickets, approvals, or manual processes slowing companies down.
Our platform enables companies like Databricks, Figma, and Cursor to delegate entire categories of work to AI agents that understands their org, takes action across systems, and gets smarter over time. We've raised $29M, backed by Thrive Capital (investors in OpenAI, Stripe, GitHub) and a small group of founders who have built category-defining companies.
We're unusually selective about the people we work with. We hire builders who span functions, optimize for speed, and care deeply about their craft. We do not care about pedigree. We have a lot of work ahead of us. Join us.
About The Role
We're hiring a BDR Manager as outbound becomes one of the biggest levers in Console's growth. As more AEs join the team and pipeline coverage becomes the constraint on revenue, we need someone who can build and run the outbound engine that feeds it.
You'll hire, coach, and run a team of SDRs, own the outbound motion end to end, and work closely with AEs and founders to define how Console goes to market. This is a player-coach role at first: you'll be close to the work, shaping sequences yourself, coaching reps on calls, and building the processes that make the team scalable. You'll report directly to the head of sales.
You'll build a system that turns outbound activity into a predictable pipeline, in an environment where the playbook is still being written. At Console, you will:
What You'll Do
  • Hire, onboard, and develop a team of SDRs focused on outbound prospecting into IT leaders, heads of operations, and CIOs at high-growth companies
  • Build and own the outbound motion: ICP targeting, sequencing strategy, channel mix, and messaging, with the rigor of someone who's done this before and the curiosity of someone who knows markets change
  • Coach reps through call reviews, live ride-alongs, and regular 1:1s, developing their discovery skills, objection handling, and overall commercial instincts
  • Set clear metrics and hold the team to them: meetings booked, show rate, pipeline contribution, conversion to closed-won
  • Partner closely with AEs to ensure tight handoffs, fast feedback loops, and strong alignment on what constitutes a qualified opportunity
  • Work with marketing to coordinate outbound with campaigns, events, and content, so SDR effort is amplified, not duplicated
  • Own the SDR tech stack: Salesforce, Outreach or Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, keeping it clean, instrumented, and actually used
  • Report on pipeline health and SDR performance to the head of sales and founders, with clear recommendations on what to improve

What You Bring
  • 3-6 years in B2B SaaS sales, with at least 1-2 years managing or leading a team of SDRs or BDRs
  • A track record of building outbound pipeline in the enterprise or mid-market segment, and the ability to articulate what good looks like
  • Experience hiring and developing SDRs early in their careers: you're a coach who makes people better, not just a quota enforcer
  • Strong written and verbal communication, you can write a compelling cold email yourself and teach others to do the same
  • A data-driven approach: you use metrics to diagnose problems, not just report them, and you're comfortable building dashboards and reviewing sequences analytically
  • Experience selling into or around IT buyers is a strong advantage, you understand the landscape, the competitive context, and the objections
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage environments: the playbook here is still being written and you'll help write it
  • Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Outreach, Apollo, Gong, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Why This Role, Why Now?
  • Build from the ground up - this is the first BDR Manager hire. You'll define the team's structure, culture, and motion, not inherit someone else's half-built system
  • Real proof points - Scale AI, Webflow, Databricks, Cursor, Figma: logos and metrics that make outreach land. You won't be asking reps to cold-pitch vaporware
  • Proximity to the top - a direct line to the head of sales and founders. Your decisions matter and your impact is visible from day one
  • Rocketship timing - Series A, $29M raised, backed by Thrive and DST. The BDR Manager who joins now has a clear path to VP as the team scales
Why join Console?
  • Product-market fit: We have built the leading product in our category, in a massive market. We've hit an inflection point and are on track to build a generational company.
  • World-class team: We seek high agency contributors who are comfortable navigating ambiguity, ruthlessly prioritize what matters and are action-biased.
  • Grow with us: We reward impact, not credentials or years of experience. We intend to grow talent from within as we scale up.
  • Competitive pay and benefits: top compensation with full benefits including:
    • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
    • Unlimited PTO
    • 401(k)
    • Equity
    • Meals provided daily in office
