Position Overview:
Woolpert is hiring an Aviation Program Director to join our dynamic Aviation team in the United States. The Aviation Program Director is forward-looking, collaborative, and will expand Woolpert’s footprint as an industry leader within the aviation geospatial niche. Success will be measured by your ability to develop, lead, and manage profitable growth through meaningful client relationships.Working with market and discipline leaders, and other Woolpert subject matter experts, you will devise execute and manage strategic planning, marketing, client/business development, capture planning activities, and project deliverables in this aviation market service area. You will also be supporting and promoting other markets and practices of Woolpert in the market area to assist their growth.

What You Will Do:
- Collaborate closely with the National Aviation Practice Lead and the Team lead for the Aviation geospatial dedicated aviation staff to deliver goals.
- Lead the business growth of key aviation geospatial services by developing a pipeline of new and existing business/contract opportunities across the US and potentially internationally.
- Drive partnerships with other consultants in the aviation industry to win and perform projects.
- Guide growth of the practice based on emerging trends, technologies, policies, and available funding sources that build on our existing reputation and relationships.
- Maintain a thought-leader/Subject Matter Expert profile in the industry by providing industry leading customer service to existing and potential clients.
- Guide the appropriate level of collaboration between Project Managers and the cross-functional technical (discipline) teams.
- Manage, monitor, and forecast metrics including Backlog, Profit and Loss, Sales, Net Revenue, Utilization, Continuing Education, and Non-Billable Travel and Expenses for the Practice.
- Lead and support where appropriate all shortlist presentations for prospective clients and participate in contract negotiations with clients.
- Provide quality reviews of project documentation including work plans thru final deliverables.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of related work experience leading and developing Geospatial service solutions, preferably within the Aviation.
- Hold a current Professional Surveying license or a GISP.
- Aviation or Airfield Subject Matter Expertise in one or more areas of existing and emerging solutions which include: Airfield, Airport Layout Plans, Master Plans, obstruction analysis, FAA ADIP expertise, as-built surveys, pavement mapping, vegetation management, and Exhibit A development.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of FAA Planning and Design Advisory Circulars, specifically AC 150/5300 series.
- Experience with public-private partnerships, Geographic Information Systems, Digital Design, and Asset Management desired but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Strong overarching business acumen required, including Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic environment.
- Quickly adapt and respond to industry changes as well as internal initiatives.
Travel Requirements:
- This role requires approximately 50% travel to support client engagements, attend industry conferences, and collaborate with colleagues at Woolpert offices nationwide.
