Job description

Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Wheel Repair Technician with a strong background in automotive paint, refinishing, and cosmetic repair to support partner dealerships in Hardeeville, South Carolina!

Job Description: This is a hands-on, production-based role focused on alloy wheel repair, refinishing, color matching, and cosmetic restoration in a dealership or high-volume reconditioning environment. The ideal candidate has experience working with automotive paints, coatings, and surface preparation and understands dealership-level quality standards. Compensation is competitive and based on skills, experience, and demonstrated proficiency in automotive wheel repair and refinishing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform cosmetic automotive wheel repair and refinishing
  • Repair curb rash, scratches, gouges, and surface damage
  • Prep, sand, prime, and paint alloy wheels to dealership standards
  • Accurately color match wheel finishes
  • Inspect completed repairs for quality and consistency
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area
  • Meet daily production and turnaround expectations

Required Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of professional automotive wheel repair experience
  • Hands-on experience with automotive paint, refinishing, or cosmetic repair
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation, sanding, priming, and painting
  • Ability to accurately color match and finish wheels
  • Experience working in a dealership, body shop, or high-volume reconditioning environment
  • Strong attention to detail and finish quality
  • Ability to work independently in a production-driven setting
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have: 

  • Background in automotive paint, body, or collision repair
  • Experience with wheel straightening or minor bend repair
  • Mobile wheel repair or dealership route experience
  • Familiarity with clear coat application and blending techniques
