About the Role
As Associate Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with design, product and engineering experts to tackle real-world challenges and deliver innovative solutions that elevate Kohl's retail offerings.
What You'll Do
  • Develop high-quality applications that are robust, observable and measurable using extreme programming (XP) practices and a user-centric approach
  • Participate in the entire application lifecycle in collaboration with designers, product managers and other engineers on the product team
  • Participate in major team ceremonies and contribute to the development of high-quality applications using XP (extreme programming) that are secure, easy to operate, difficult to break, and highly observable with measurable results
  • Learn product engineering and software standards
  • Demonstrate a passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies
  • Additional tasks may be assigned

Addendum
ASSOCIATE BACKEND SOFTWARE ENGINEER
  • Experience in Java and JEE development with exposure to Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Batch or Spring Security
  • Knowledge of build management tools such as Gradle or Maven
  • Demonstrated understanding of source control systems such as GIT
  • Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL database usage
  • Knowledge of full SDLC techniques, including requirements gathering, planning, estimation, development, testing, and deployment

ASSOCIATE SOFTWARE ENGINEER (ANDROID)
  • Knowledge of Java and Kotlin for Android
  • Experience with making REST calls over the network

  • Experience building UI/UX with the use of Storyboards and Nibs/Xibs

  • Comfortable working with Xcode, Interface Builder, Objective-C/C++ and Swift.
  • Collaborate with iOS, Android, and Server engineers to ship features
  • Experience with JavaScript, either in a browser or server-side environment such as NodeJS, React

ASSOCIATE SaaS SOFTWARE ENGINEER
  • Experience with integration platforms or frameworks
  • Experience integrating with SaaS systems
  • Experience developing integration frameworks

ASSOCIATE APP MODERNIZATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER
  • Proven experience in Spring Boot, Kotlin, and Java
  • Experience in frontend development and frameworks ReactJS, NextJS
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Knowledge of in MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of Android, React, or .NET

What Skills You Have
