As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a talented team in the design, development and implementation of mobile and web software solutions to commission, monitor and manage our residential generators and related systems. This role is critical to developing new products, driving innovation and delivering high-performance solutions in support of our business goals.

This role is fully remote.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of up to 8 software engineers.

  • Manage the development of mobile and web front-end solutions - define architecture, coding standards and best practices

  • Manage multiple software development projects from concept through implementation and support.

  • Collaborate with marketing, engineering and IT teams to define software requirements, specifications, architecture and solutions.

  • Drive continuous improvement focused on customer experience and quality improvements.

  • Support creation of product development roadmaps and a strategic plan for software engineering.

  • Manage work in an agile development environment, while also meeting the needs of a waterfall timeline for product development.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards and best practices related to software system designs.

  • Oversee resource planning, performance reviews and professional development for this team as well as develop budgets, timelines and task assignments.

  • Demonstrate Rehlko values, including building trust, working with pace, exhibiting curiosity and driving excellence

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience developing and implementing mobile, web and cloud-based software solutions.

  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles.

  • Experience in enterprise software architecture and database design.

  • Experience with Azure, Flutter, HTML, CSS3, C#, relational databases, client-server solutions.

  • Strong communication skills with internal stakeholders and executive leadership.

  • High level of motivation and ability to collaborate effectively in a team and independently to achieve results.

  • Prior management or leadership experience of software teams is a plus.

    The Salary range for this position is $129,150.00-$165,000.00.The specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
