Job description

Agile Scrum Master (Associate, Experienced, or Senior)

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated Agile Scrum Master (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) to become part of a large Air Dominance Division Mission Systems Software team in Berkeley, MO.

This role will support an agile organization to implement new software capabilities within the platform as defined by a capability roadmap. The organization is responsible for the full lifecycle of software development including requirements, design, implementation, and testing for mission systems.

In this role, you will assist the team in executing the Agile development methodology. You will help to eliminate impediments, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and improve the collaboration between development teams. Not only will you adopt the Agile principles, but you will also instill best practices. You will be responsible for coaching software engineers on agile processes, training teams with agile strategies and tools, monitoring team goals, facilitating retrospectives and community of practice meetings, and improving organizational outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Groom multiple software product backlogs

  • Execute daily stand-up and retrospective meetings

  • Lead an Agile community of practice that includes Product Owners and process stakeholders

  • Assist with sprint planning

  • Monitor metrics and improve team outcomes

  • Train teams on agile processes and tools

  • Facilitate communication across teams

  • Audit team performance and identify project risks

  • Advise leadership on organizational progress

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to workonsiteat one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment (An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start may be required)

  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • Scrum master certification

  • 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master

  • Experience with software backlog management tools, such as JIRA, VersionOne

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Associate degree or higher

  • Level 3: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Agile coach certification

  • Experience with metrics collection and associated tools (Excel, eazyBI)

  • Experience with hosting meetings and associated tools (Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint)

Experienced (Level 3): $85,000 - $115,000
