Job Description

We are looking for a Scrum Master with strong IT project management experience to lead and coach Agile teams while simultaneously managing multiple concurrent projects. This role drives sprint execution, oversees cross-functional coordination, and establishes performance metrics to ensure successful, on-time delivery in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This position will be a contract and onsite in Miramar, FL.

Due to the specific legal and contractual requirements associated with this position, this role will be direct employment with CAI. This position does not offer work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as a team coach and facilitator, driving team success and continuous improvement

  • Establish and monitor team metrics (capacity, throughput, sprint progress) to ensure delivery against sprint goals

  • Lead Agile ceremonies and support teams in achieving high performance

  • Coach and train team members on Scrum framework and Agile methodologies

  • Promote and embody Agile and Scrum values, principles, and best practices

  • Guide teams in backlog management, user story creation, and estimation techniques

  • Support distributed and remote teams to collaborate effectively

  • Foster accountability to commitments and team agreements

  • Communicate and analyze team dashboards (burn-up/down charts, velocity metrics)

  • Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and data insights

  • Facilitate conflict resolution, decision-making, and team empowerment

  • Build strong relationships and maintain high team engagement and morale

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of scrum master and IT project management experience

  • Experience working in Agile environments with knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and/or Scaled Agile

  • Experience utilizing tools such as Jira, Confluence and Power BI

  • Strong understanding of backlog tracking, velocity, burndown metrics, and Agile artifacts

  • Experience applying Scrum techniques (retrospectives, handling defects, burndown tracking, etc.)

  • Ability to lead distributed or remote teams effectively

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and mentoring skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in driving accountability, transparency, and team success

  • Skills in conflict resolution, situational awareness, and team empowerment

  • Continuous learning mindset with a focus on Agile/Lean practices

Preferred:

  • Experience leading Agile transformations or scaling Agile practices across teams

  • Prior experience in maritime

  • Knowledge of AI

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

$50- $55 per hour

The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
