Department: Government Customer – Bethesda

ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE WITH CI POLY REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior ServiceNow (SNOW) Scrum Master to support a mission-critical Intelligence Community (IC) customer. This role is ideal for a seasoned agile leader with deep expertise in Scrum methodologies and the ServiceNow platform, capable of driving delivery excellence across complex, multi-contractor environments.

The Senior SNOW Scrum Master will play a pivotal role in facilitating agile processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of scalable, mission-aligned solutions. This position requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively engage with senior IC leadership and enterprise stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Scrum Facilitation & Agile Leadership

  • Act as the Scrum Master for projects utilizing the ServiceNow (SNOW) platform, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles, roles, and best practices.
  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Optimize team performance by managing velocity, tracking capacity, and ensuring timely delivery of sprint commitments and milestones.

Collaboration with Leadership & Stakeholders

  • Engage closely with senior IC leadership to align project execution with mission priorities and strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate across contractor teams and enterprise stakeholders to ensure effective communication, coordination, and conflict resolution.
  • Foster alignment between multiple teams supporting interconnected efforts across contracts.

Project & Risk Management

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and performance to ensure successful delivery of objectives.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and blockers early, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project momentum.
  • Provide regular status updates, metrics, and reporting to senior leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and improvement opportunities.

ServiceNow (SNOW) Platform Expertise

  • Guide teams in leveraging and expanding ServiceNow capabilities to support mission needs.
  • Coordinate platform updates, enhancements, and new feature implementations in collaboration with technical teams and IC leadership.
  • Utilize SNOW tools (e.g., VTB boards) to track progress, manage workloads, and report performance metrics.

Mentorship and Team Empowerment

  • Serve as a servant leader and mentor, promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Coach team members on agile principles and ensure consistent application across all workstreams.
  • Enable high-performing teams through effective facilitation, support, and leadership.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (required).
  • Minimum of 13 years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years as a Scrum Master in an agile environment.
  • Strong expertise in agile methodologies, Scrum practices, and servant leadership within complex, mission-driven environments.
  • Demonstrated experience using ServiceNow (SNOW), including managing VTB boards or equivalent agile tracking tools.
  • Proven ability to engage with senior IC leadership, delivering clear, concise updates and facilitating strategic discussions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multi-contractor and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying risks and aligning teams to mission objectives.
Education / Relevant Experience
  • Associate Degree + 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree + 8 years of relevant experience
  • Master’s Degree + 6 years of relevant experience
  • PhD + 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Agile certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM).
  • Familiarity with Intelligence Community (IC) environments, directives, and mission workflows.
  • Experience working across multiple contractor teams in a consultative or enterprise environment.
  • Understanding of enterprise-scale delivery and coordination across diverse stakeholder groups.
