Job description

The Operations Analyst is a key technical and analytical contributor within the Data, Analytics, and AI function's Digital Products team. This role directly supports the Chief Operating Officer (COO) by designing, developing, maintaining, and continuously improving operational reporting, scorecards, dashboards, and measurement systems that drive data-informed decision-making. The position focuses on translating operational needs into reliable analytics solutions, partnering closely with Finance and other stakeholders to identify leading indicators, automate data flows, and support quarterly goal tracking. The Operations Analyst acts as a trusted advisor on operational data strategy while delivering both recurring and ad-hoc reporting that enhances visibility into program performance and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the NCM Program Scorecards: deliver regular data updates, evolve metrics and measurements based on business priorities, and provide recommendations for automating data flows to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient scorecard maintenance.
  • Lead Quarterly ELT/SLT Goal Tracking: design and implement measurement systems to accurately assess completion rates and progress; collaborate with stakeholders to brainstorm, evaluate, and integrate new data sources to strengthen goal visibility and accountability; work with leadership to identify new measures that accurately reflect targeted outcomes.
  • Partner with Finance: attend Finance meetings and working sessions to identify opportunities for deeper operational data and reporting; develop leading-indicator dashboards and analyses that connect operational performance to financial outcomes.
  • Deliver ad-hoc operational reporting and analysis to support the COO and leadership team, including rapid response to emerging business questions through data extraction, transformation, visualization, and insightful narrative.
  • Gather and analyze business and operational requirements through stakeholder interviews, process review, and needs assessment to define and prioritize reporting, scorecard, and analytics solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain formatted reports, interactive dashboards, visualizations, and supporting database structures (tables, views, stored procedures) using modern BI and data tools.
  • Assist with data integration routines, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, quality validation, and automation initiatives to ensure reliable data availability for operational analytics.
  • Contribute to data discovery, profiling, source-to-target mapping, lineage, and quality efforts to maintain trustworthy operational data assets.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Stewardship, Architecture, and cross-functional teams to align solutions with enterprise standards, governance policies, and the Value Creation Blueprint.
  • Prepare documentation, project proposals, and status updates; participate in agile or iterative delivery methodologies; and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and analytics maturity.
  • Stay current with operational analytics best practices, BI technologies, and data automation tools, applying new capabilities to enhance efficiency and insight quality.

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Analytics, Finance, Operations, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or financial background preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Programmer/Analyst, BI Developer, Report Developer, or Operations Analyst role within an IT, Data, or Finance environment.
  • Strong experience with data warehousing, data modeling, relational databases (RDBMS), SQL, and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining executive-level scorecards, operational dashboards, and goal-tracking mechanisms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex operational data into clear insights for senior leadership and Finance partners.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and attention-to-detail skills; proven ability to work independently while driving results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience partnering with Finance or leadership teams and working with financial/operational data as leading indicators is strongly preferred.
  • Self-starter with high accountability, confidentiality, and professional presence; capable of organizing and prioritizing multiple deliverables.
  • Familiarity with data automation, ETL/ELT concepts, and agile/spiral methodologies; enthusiasm for learning and applying new technologies.
