Job description

Job Title: Operations Analyst Department: Academic Affairs Administration | Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Salmon P. Chase Center for Civics, Culture, and Society is conducting a search for an Operations Analyst who will support the Centerโ€™s dayโ€‘toโ€‘day operations. The Operations Analyst will work closely with the Centerโ€™s Operations Manager to develop and maintain best practices for business and program administration. The Operations Analyst will oversee numerous business processes; coordinate course administration; serve as an administrative resource to faculty; and manage the Centerโ€™s facilities. The Operations Analyst will enable the Centerโ€™s continued growth as the flourishing academic community envisioned in ORC ยง 3335.39. The Operations Analyst, as with all members of the Center, should embrace the Centerโ€™s mission.

Financial Administration, Purchasing, and Travel

The Operations Analyst oversees the Centerโ€™s individual spending accounts, including faculty research and start-up, managing their budgets, reconciling transactions, analyzing spending, and producing monthly reports. The Operations Analyst manages the Centerโ€™s budgets for various student programs and initiatives, developing practices for tracking expenses and communicating with faculty and staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. The Operations Analyst independently manages all domestic and international travel for faculty and staff.

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Chase Centerโ€™s mission of citizenship education.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated poise, professionalism, good judgment, and ability to take the extra step to meet customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Regular in-person attendance is expected.
Desired Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with university policies and procedures.
  • The Operations Analyst coordinates purchasing of equipment, supplies, and services and processes procurement and payments in compliance with university and Center policies and procedures.
  • The Operations Analyst works with the Operations Manager to develop, implement, and maintain the Centerโ€™s business processes.
Program Support
  • The Operations Analyst works with the Centerโ€™s Associate Director and faculty administrators to develop and maintain the Centerโ€™s course schedules.
  • The Operations Analyst manages course, enrollment, and teaching data, producing regular reports.
  • Working with the Operations Manager, the Operations Analyst develops enrollment dashboards and analyzes relevant data.
  • The Operations Analyst coordinates coursebook orders and secures instructor desk copies.
Facilities Management
  • The Operations Analyst manages the Centerโ€™s facilities, coordinating maintenance and service requests and ensuring good stewardship of the Centerโ€™s space and assets.
  • The Operations Analyst manages building access and brass keys.
  • The Operations Analyst serves as the Centerโ€™s liaison to the Office of Technology and Digital Innovation, coordinating support and service for the Centerโ€™s resources.
  • The Operations Analyst assists the Operations Manager with logistical, administrative, and practical tasks related to the maintenance and oversight of the Chase Centerโ€™s facilities.
Additional Information

The Targeted Hiring Range for this position is $55,700 - $68,000.
