Job description

Position Summary
The Property Insurance Broker is responsible for structuring, marketing, and placing commercial property programs for mid-market and large accounts, including shared and layered towers. Working alongside senior brokers and analysts, this role owns the technical execution of the placement lifecycle - from submission development and market negotiation to binding, policy checking, and delivery - while building direct relationships across the US, London, Bermuda, E&S markets.
Key Responsibilities
• Structure and place commercial property programs, including single-carrier, quota-share, shared / layered, for real estate, hospitality, industrial, manufacturing or municipal accounts.
• Develop complete market submissions: SOV preparation and scrubbing, exposure narratives, loss overview, coverage specifications and policy forms.
• Market and negotiate terms directly with US domestic carriers, London and Bermuda markets, E&S / wholesale markets, and reinsurance markets as appropriate.
• Analyze and compare carrier and broker (manuscript) policy forms, identifying coverage gaps, non-concurrency, and differences in conditions across a layered program.
• Run and interpret catastrophe modeling output (RMS / Moody's and AIR / Verisk) to inform program structure, retentions, limits, and pricing strategy.
• Build and present program options, pricing, and quote comparisons to account teams and clients.
• Manage the binding process, policy issuance against quoted terms, and resolve discrepancies to reduce E&O exposure.
• Contribute to renewal strategy, supplemental information requests, and carrier question responses on assigned accounts.
Required Qualifications
• 6+ years of commercial property brokerage, wholesale, or property underwriting experience.
• Active P&C license
• Demonstrated experience placing large property programs, including shared and layered structures.
• Working knowledge of carrier and broker policy forms and manuscript wording.
• Direct working experience with US, London, Bermuda, and E&S markets; exposure to reinsurance placements.
• Familiarity with RMS and AIR catastrophe modeling and the ability to interpret output for program decisions.
Core Competencies
• Technical broking accuracy and attention to detail (E&O discipline).
• Negotiation and market relationship management.
• Client-ready written and verbal communication.
• Time management across concurrent renewals and deadlines.
The anticipated posting timeline for this opportunity is 09/04/2026-10/04/2026.
Salary Range
$75,000-$150,000 USD
