Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA for a Licensed Insurance Agent/Customer Service Representative. The role involves assisting clients with policy inquiries, coverage changes, and claims-related questions, while delivering timely and professional customer service. Daily tasks include quoting and selling insurance products, processing applications, reviewing existing policies for coverage gaps, and following up on renewals and leads. The team member will maintain accurate records in agency systems, handle inbound and outbound calls, and collaborate with colleagues and carriers to resolve client issues. The role also includes educating clients on policy features, documenting interactions, and adhering to regulatory and agency compliance standards.
Qualifications
  • Strong Insurance Sales skills, with the ability to prospect, quote, and close personal and/or commercial lines policies.
  • Solid understanding of Insurance products, coverage types, and carrier guidelines to advise clients effectively.
  • Experience within an Insurance Brokerage or agency environment, including working with multiple carriers and platforms.
  • Basic Finance and risk management knowledge to explain premiums, deductibles, and policy impacts clearly.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills, including clear communication, active listening, and problem-solving in a client-facing role.
  • Active Property & Casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe), with compliance to state regulations.
  • Proficiency with office and agency management software, accurate data entry, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, VA, manage multiple tasks, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Prior agency or insurance industry experience preferred; high school diploma required, associate or bachelorโ€™s degree a plus.
