Job description

The Hilb Group is currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Commercial Lines Associate Account Manager to join our team. This position will report to our agency located in Cranston, RI. The ideal candidate will be motivated to succeed, is well organized, able to prioritize, and able to work well with a team. This is an in-office position.

Responsibilities
  • Generate Proof of Insurance (Certificates, EPI's, Binders, AutoID cards)
  • Process policies: e-file/attach to client file, policy check, and process original copy for delivery to the insured
  • Process and monitor direct bill endorsements
  • Process direct bill audits
  • Monitor carrier/premium finance company cancellation status and activity.
  • Generate form letters
  • Order MVRs
  • Order loss runs
  • Update data schedules (location, driver, named insured, etc.) in agency management system
  • E-filing/attaching of scanned documents
  • E-filing/attaching of online reports, policies, endorsements, cancellation warnings
  • Data entry projects as needed
Qualifications
  • Highschool or college degree
  • Excellent working knowledge of the computer and the following programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro and Internet Explorer
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technology and software
  • Ability to analyze work assignments and know when to ask for assistance in order to complete the assignments in a timely manner
  • Ability to respond promptly to departmental needs and solicit feedback to improve service
  • Prepare professional form letters, write clearly, edit work for spelling and grammar, ability to read and interpret written information
  • Perform all job requirements, consistently produce quality work, complete tasks accurately and on time, prioritize and plan work assignments, use time efficiently to meet productivity standards and commitments
  • Take responsibility for own actions and be responsive to coaching from account managers and department manager
  • Strive to continuously pursue training and development opportunities to build knowledge and skills
  • Prior experience with Vertafore agency management software preferred
  • Knowledge and background in insurance preferred
