We’re searching for an Associate Accountant to join our Accounting & Auditing team in our Daytona Beach office.

In this role, you will support a variety of client engagements by applying accounting and auditing principles, preparing workpapers, gathering and analyzing client data, and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations across a diverse range of industries. You will work closely with experienced team members while developing your technical skills and gaining exposure to a variety of clients and service lines.

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
  • Basic proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply appropriate accounting and auditing knowledge on workpapers and assignments to ensure accurate and reliable data for clients’ needs.
  • Utilize accounting and auditing software to manage client data, tasks, and documentation.
  • Connect with various supervisors on current and future jobs to determine the needs of the team and client.
  • Gather data samples from clients to prepare workpapers for audits.
  • Verify the accuracy of client-submitted data, identify and resolve discrepancies, and communicate necessary clarification or escalate issues.
  • Corrective action as needed on quality control of submitted work.
  • Review contracts, leases, and similar documentation between clients and third parties.
  • Investigate industries and service lines to determine areas of interest.
  • Participate in recruiting events as a representative of their department to provide candidates with information about career opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting and auditing standards.
  • Collaborate across various organizational departments and work with cross-functional teams to execute goals.
  • Comply with the Firm’s training and continuous education requirements.
