Department: Finance / Accounting

Position Summary

The Associate Accountant supports the day-to-day accounting functions of an innovative medical technology company. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with month-end close, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of working in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
  • Support inventory accounting and cost tracking (experience in manufacturing or medical devices is a plus)
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Provide support during audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and regulatory

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
