Job description

Farmers & Merchants Bank is a family owned, chartered institution with office locations in 12 communities in Nebraska, and about 100 employees. We have everything the bigger banks have - the newest technology, a suite of diverse products and services, and knowledgeable bankers - but with a hometown feel that's open, friendly, and welcoming.

The following is an outline of duties for a BSA Administrative Assistant.

Essential Functions

  • Provides a wide variety of administrative and staff support to the bank.
  • Answer questions in person, corresponding professionally on the telephone, mail, and/or e-mail and refers customers to other Bank services.
  • Performs compliance duties by reviewing bank files and documents ensuring compliance with conditions, rules, statues and regulations.
  • Complies with bank operations and procedures by consulting with and working with the compliance officer on various loan and operation functions.
  • Assists with charge-offs, collection letters, certain garnishments and judgments.
  • Assists with accounting functions of the bank.
  • Assists with investment functions of the bank.
  • Complies with Bank operations and procedures, including the Bank Secrecy Act, while serving as back-up for Bank Secrecy Officer.
  • Follows attendance policies in compliance with the employer handbook.
  • Prepares reports as required and assists customers with various services.
  • Provides secretarial services and assists all areas of the bank as requested.
  • Maintains customer confidence and protect bank operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Assist with tasks and projects as assigned.
