About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our growing healthcare team in Fuquay, NC. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a medical office front desk role, strong customer service skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Answer and return patient phone calls professionally and efficiently
Greet and check in patients; verify demographics and insurance information
Collect copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding balances
Check insurance eligibility and update EMR records
Schedule and confirm patient appointments
Process patient check-outs and manage recalls
Balance daily payment batches across multiple systems
Maintain a clean, organized front desk area
Assist with prescription logging and retail/cosmetic product coordination
Utilize EMR and payment systems (NexTech, EMA, CareCredit, ALLE, PayJunction, ModMed Pay – training provided as needed)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ year of medical office front desk experience required
1+ year of customer service experience
Familiarity with EMR systems preferred
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow office policies
Comfortable working with patients in a professional healthcare setting
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to bend, stoop, and perform repetitive hand movements
Comfortable working in a medical office environment with patient interaction
