Receptionist - JLL
What this job involves:
Join our team where we set the standard for hospitality service and pride ourselves on delivering excellence in the care and comfort of every guest. As a Receptionist at our Durham location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, embodying our hospitality standards and creating memorable brand experiences from the moment guests arrive.
In this role, you will serve as the central information hub of our offices, connecting employees, visitors, and vendors to the right resources while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service. You will transform routine arrivals into personalized, anticipatory experiences that focus on quality interactions and white glove service. This position offers the opportunity to be an integral part of our facility operations, supporting security protocols, event management, and seamless client experiences in a dynamic corporate environment.
What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Greet guests upon arrival with warm, sincere welcomes and deliver personalized, anticipatory service that creates frictionless, high-quality experiences
  • Serve as the central information hub, connecting employees, visitors, and vendors to appropriate resources and departments with confidence and professionalism
  • Handle guest concerns in person, over the phone, or via emails/tickets, offering prompt and gracious assistance and resolution
  • Manage visitor registrations and tracking using dashboards and platforms to generate data-driven insights regarding guest volume and facility usage
  • Issue and track employee badges following proper security procedures, supporting badge management inventory and returns
  • Support onsite events through organized check-ins, badging, and hospitality-focused arrival experiences for external and event guests
  • Manage incoming and outgoing courier services, packages, and mail as required

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience, preferably from hotels, resorts, retail, fine dining restaurants, luxury guest service environments, or tech corporate offices
  • Proficiency in Google Suite with flexibility to quickly adapt to new processes and systems
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written; English proficiency required
  • Ability to perform minimal physical activity such as walking and carrying small packages
  • Demonstrated confidence to enforce security policies and manage friction points while maintaining high professionalism and customer service
  • Self-accountability for hospitality and experience standards
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service with a hospitality mindset

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Event planning experience
  • Background working in corporate office environments or technology companies
