Job description

Well-established Commercial General Contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is customer service oriented, professional in demeanor and appearance, and able to communicate effectively both in oral and written correspondence.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Assistant Project Manager is responsible to report to the project manager on a daily basis to oversee all project activities. He/she is responsible for the entire project site. As the leader on site, it is his/her responsibility to deliver a safe and successful project from start to finish. Typically the assistant project manager interfaces daily with the project manager, foreman, and laborers to achieve a successful project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
:
  • Assist in developing construction schedule using standard CPM guidelines
  • Manage project construction schedule from the beginning to the final closeout of the project
  • Manage the day-to-day construction activities between the different trades
  • Coordinate material deliveries on site
  • Responsible for creating a safe and accident-free project site
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and hold weekly safety meetings with crews
  • Direct and supervise foremen/crews
  • Interact daily with the project manager and foreman

QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 1-2years of construction-related experience
Each set of projects has specific characteristics regarding size and complexity which may dictate precise years of experience and industry knowledge.
