Position Summaryย 

The Operations Managerย is responsible forย leading the successful establishment, ramp-up, and ongoing management of a new manufacturing productionย site. This role will oversee all aspects of operational readiness, including equipment installation, process development, staffing, production planning, and continuous improvement.ย The Operationsย managerย will be supported by a Qualityย manager. Following launch, the Operations Manager will be accountable for achievingย operational, quality, safety, and financial performance targets while building a high-performing manufacturing organization capable of supporting future growth.ย 

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Start-Up & Industrializationย 

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new productionย lineย 
  • Develop and execute the production launch plan, ensuring alignment with businessย objectives, customer requirements, and project timelines.ย 
  • Coordinate facility modificationsย with the landlord (GEA) ;ย equipmentย procurement,ย installation,ย &ย commissioningย ;ย and production readiness activities.ย 
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Maintenance, and EHS teams to ensure successful operational deployment.ย Collaborationย will be with the local US team, with theย Mytoย factory, the HQ functionalย leadsย & theย GEA organization.ย 
  • Define manufacturing processes, production workflows, material flow, labor requirements, and operating procedures.ย 
  • Recruit, develop, and lead supervisors, production personnel, and support staff required for the new operation.ย 
  • Support the SAP S4H implementationย forย theย operations-related processes.ย 
  • Establish production standards, KPIs, reporting systems, and visual management tools.ย 
  • Identifyย and mitigate operational risks during start-up and ramp-up phasesย 

Operations Leadershipย 

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and costย objectives.ย ย 
  • Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently to meet customer demand and service level expectations.ย ย 
  • Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.ย ย 
  • Monitor andย optimizeย laborย utilization, equipment performance, capacity, and manufacturing efficiency.ย ย 
  • Develop contingency plans to address production disruptions and customer requirements.ย 
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.ย ย 
Qualifications

Basic Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, orย a relatedย field.ย 
  • Minimum 5yrs experience in Manufacturingย roles.ย 
  • Experience with production planning, industrialization, process implementation, and operational scaling.ย 

Other qualifications that would be beneficial in this role:ย 

  • Experience in refrigeration or cooling systems (HVAC).ย 
  • Proven experience leading a manufacturing start-up, greenfield, brownfield, or major production launch project.ย ย 
  • Background in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellenceย
