Job Posting Information Join Our Team at the Waverly Shop - Make a Real Impact on Lancaster County Roads. Position Type: Full-Time Location: Waverly Shop Work Schedule: Winter (November-April): Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m

Summer (April-November): Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Note: Hours may vary during emergencies, severe weather, weekends, or holidays

Are you ready to get hands-on and help keep our roads safe and running smoothly year-round. This is more than just a job - it's your chance to be a key player in maintaining and improving the infrastructure that keeps Lancaster County moving. As a vital member of our team, you'll assist in leading road and bridge maintenance operations, including: Overseeing road repairs and improvements Maintaining bridges and culverts Running snow removal operations during the winter Coordinating and reviewing work completed by contractors Operating a variety of construction and maintenance equipment Training staff and keeping detailed records of your work This is a technical and leadership-focused role where your expertise will be valued every day.

Important: This is a safety-sensitive position and is subject to mandatory drug testing as a condition of employment. QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent and two years of experience in the operation of heavy-duty construction and maintenance equipment; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Employees must possess a valid driver's license. Employees must possess and maintain a valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and any applicable endorsements or be able to obtain a CDL within 2 months of employment. Employees must possess and maintain a Highway Superintendent License within 12 months of date of hire.
