Join one of the Department of Justice's leading Human Resources programs. The Civil Division seeks an Assistant Human Resources Officer for the Accountability and Development Team to lead HR accountability, process improvement, and workforce development initiatives. The position shapes HR systems, develops HR professionals, and supports Division-wide training programs for attorneys, paralegals, and supervisors at key career stages.Qualifications:To qualify for the GS-15 level, applicants must have one year of specialized experience in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Leading or managing human resources programs such as workforce planning, employee development, leadership development, or HR operations;
  • Developing or improving HR policies, procedures, or processes to improve efficiency, consistency, or compliance with applicable laws and agency requirements;
  • Advising senior leaders on human resources issues involving workforce needs, program performance, or organizational effectiveness; and
  • Leading or supervising HR staff, contractors, or teams performing HR-related work.
Examples of qualifying experience may include: leading HR improvement efforts across an organization, developing training or development programs for employees or supervisors, or managing HR initiatives that improve how a large organization operates.
