Job description

We are seeking a detail - oriented, highly organized full - charge bookkeeper to oversee the day - to - day financial operations of our growing high - end garden maintenance company with approximately $3 million in annual revenue. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounting functions and supporting management with financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is proactive, trustworthy and experienced in construction, landscaping or serviced based businesses.

Key Responsibilities: Maintain the company's general ledger and chart of accounts.

  • Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Process customer invoicing and monitor collections.
  • Reconcile all bank, credit card, and loan accounts monthly.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including:
    • Profit & Loss
    • Balance Sheet
    • Cash Flow Reports
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules.
  • Track job costing and department profitability.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting.
  • Prepare reports for ownership and management.


Payroll & Human Resources

  • Process weekly or bi-weekly payroll.
  • Maintain employee records.
  • Track PTO, sick leave, and benefits.
  • Prepare payroll tax reports and coordinate with payroll providers.
  • Assist with new hire paperwork and compliance.


Budgeting & Financial Analysis

  • Assist in annual budgeting.
  • Monitor budget versus actual performance.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including:
    • Gross Profit Margin

    • Equipment Costs
