Commercial Product Sales Specialist – Disdero (A BlueLinx Company)

Disdero, a proud BlueLinx company, is seeking a dynamic Sales Rep to join our Clackamas team. As a Sales Rep, you will be the primary point of contact for architects, general contractors, and developers, providing technical expertise and product education to ensure our materials are the "basis of design" for major commercial projects. In this role, you will be the face of our high-end commercial cladding and facade solutions. We are looking for a "hunter" who is inspired by challenges and eager to identify new leads while managing long-term customer relationships.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Generation & Business Development: Proactively identify and qualify leads for commercial building projects.
  • Architectural Specification: Conduct Product Knowledge (PK) sessions and formal presentations to architects and designers to get our cladding products specified.
  • Project Management: Manage the sales cycle from lead identification through project completion, ensuring a seamless experience for the customer.
  • Technical Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations on commercial building materials, focusing on aesthetics, durability, and technical specifications.
  •  Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with a recent history of successful customer satisfaction.
  • Travel: Perform regular travel to visit project sites, architectural firms, and industry events as required.

What You Bring

  • 3-5 years of sales or customer‑facing experience, preferably in building materials or construction.
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong relationship‑building and customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills — both written and verbal
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Comfortable with basic accounting/mathematical concepts
  • Strong data entry skills (10‑key, 50+ wpm)
  • A background in building materials, construction, architectural sales, or related fields is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate based on the position requirements and market data. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day, and 8 paid holidays per year.
